I can't wait to try this.
I make a Sage Vodka Martinelli's Martini by adding a little apple juice or cider instead of vermouth. Garnish with a skewered apple slice and chunk of Valdeon blue cheese.
The sweet of the juice balances the stringent news of the sage. I infuse with my regular garden sage, but will try my next batch with the Biergarden I have growing, though I've heard it is more sharply flavored.

And yes, a true martini is made with gin, but barely anyone--including bartenders--knows that anymore. I order them all the time and have to specify GIN.

This isn't a martini- a martini is gin, vermouth (sweet or dry) and garnish, sometimes with bitters- but it sounds great! Found you on Stumbleupon.
